Transparency as a cornerstone: Meijers publishes ESG goals and updates on the progress made

Voluntary reporting driven by commitment
Sustainability is deeply embedded in our strategy. It defines who we are as an organisation, one that doesn’t wait for regulations but acts on its responsibility in society. This is why we have chosen to publish our ESG report, which outlines key themes such as gender equality, employee satisfaction and training on codes of conduct, compliance and data protection.
We want to share where we currently stand, where we are heading, and where there is still room for improvement. These are meaningful decisions, not only for us, but also for our clients, partners and colleagues. By being transparent, we make our ambitions tangible and measurable. ESG reporting: new European legislation on the horizon
On 26 February 2025, the European Commission put forward the so-called Omnibus Regulation—legislation that will significantly amend the existing Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Although a deferral has been agreed, pushing the reporting obligation to 2028 and limiting the CSRD to organisations with over 1,000 employees, Meijers has consciously chosen to begin reporting on ESG goals and progress as of 2025.
Why now? Because we believe that the CSRD requirements genuinely contribute to better sustainability and governance. Delaying or limiting these rules could send the wrong message and risk stalling the urgent societal transformation needed.
